EMT Basic Program

Emergency Medical Technicians (EMT’s) are specially trained to treat illness and injuries where they happen, then transport the patient to the hospital.  EMT certification is required to work at any level in the pre-hospital environment.  Our EMT program meets the standards set forth by the U.S. Department of Transportation.

The EMT training program offered at Community Safety Consultants (CSC) will teach the life saving skills students will need to attain a New Jersey State EMT certification.  After completing the 120 hour EMT program, students will be eligible to take the New Jersey State Department of Health examination for EMT-B certification.  They are then qualified to begin a career in emergency medical services, saving lives.

Profession level CPR is a prerequisite in order to take the EMT program.  This CPR training can be taken through Community Safety Consultants as well.  Attendance to all classes is mandatory as per the New Jersey State Department of Health in order to be eligible to take the EMT test.
